How long is the expedition?
The standard expedition runs for 8 days and 7 nights.
Are flights included?
No. Flights are priced separately from the expedition. As an Authorized Yemenia Airways Sales Agent, we can book your flights to and from Socotra; fares depend on availability at the time of booking.
Do you arrange the visa?
Yes. After your trip and flight booking are confirmed, our team coordinates the Socotra visa process. The current visa fee is USD 200 per traveler where required.
What is included in the expedition price?
The expedition includes local transport by 4x4, guides and support team, meals and drinking water, camping equipment, and protected-area fees. Your booking page shows the exact inclusions for your selected package.
How large are the groups?
Our standard expedition is designed for small groups, with a maximum of 20 guests.
When is the Socotra travel season?
Our 2026–2027 season runs from October to early May, with two departures per week.
Is full payment required to confirm a booking?
Yes. A booking is confirmed only after successful full payment. Refund terms depend on the fare type you select.
Will we stay in tents or hotels in Socotra?
Camping is the main accommodation throughout our 8-day, 7-night Socotra expedition. You’ll stay in single or double tents and experience the island’s landscapes up close. A hotel is optional for the final night at an additional cost.
What camping and bedding equipment is provided?
We provide single or double tents, along with a mattress, pillow and blanket. You do not need to bring your own tent or these bedding items.
Are toilets and showers available during the expedition?
We provide portable toilets in separate privacy tents at camp. Showers are available at public bathroom facilities, rather than inside the sleeping tents.
Is internet access available during the Socotra expedition?
Yes. Starlink internet is available to all our travelers at no extra charge, subject to signal and operating conditions. A continuous connection cannot be guaranteed throughout the route.
Can I choose a hotel for the final night?
Yes. You can continue camping or choose a hotel for the final night at an additional cost. We recommend camping to complete the outdoor experience, but the choice is yours. Hotel options and prices are shown on the booking page.
